CENTER FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING
NISWASS has long been engaged in vocational training and education for the unemployed youth especially from the poor socio-economic state of society. Trades that have high employability and earnings that are in tune with the market requirements have been carefully selected. NISWASS is registered with Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha to conduct training on Skill Development Initiatives based on Modular Employable Skill. This training is as per the guidelines of NCVT (National Council of Vocational Training), Labour and Employment Ministry of Govt. of India, New Delhi. N.C.V.T approved syllabus is strictly adhered to and the trainees on completion are awarded NCVT skill certification.
The high point of the Vocational Training Centre during the year under report is passing out of the 1st Batch of 95 trainees under Skill Development Initiatives based on Modular Employable Skill, who will receive their certificate from D.G.E.T, Govt. of India, New Delhi in Printing, Media, Information & Communication Technology sector. This training helps mostly the weaker sections from rural areas and urban slums.
