Dr. Roma Dey is Research Officer, Dr. Ambedkar Chair for Social Work at NISWASS. She is currently involved in National Human Rights Commission study on the intersection of migration, trafficking and bonded labour in Odisha. She is also teaches and supervises students of masters of Social Work.
She has worked as an Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, University of Delhi and Jamia Millia University, Delhi. Her
She has been involved with various developmental organisations and movements for gender equity, indigenous people’s right and quality public health and education services. Her work in developmental organization has largely been in the areas of research, documentation and training.
She has presented papers and published in areas of the gender and its intersection with social, economic and political life.
